| 1600 yards of swimming and kicking. Not real motivated, but at least I got in and did something. I meet with a foot and ankle specialist tomorrow, should be interesting, this will be number 7, who knows, maybe this will be my lucky number!

| Approximately 2000 yards in the pool. Ok swim. Met with a new ankle and foot specialist today, nothing really that new to report. He could not offer a good solution to solve the underlying issues. This may ultimately lead to an end to my running, but I remain somewhat hopeful that with enough mobility work and alternative therapy I will get healthy. The surgical option is not good, and really not possible because of the long recovery time and mandatory time off my feet. Another piece to the puzzle, just not the fit I wanted. |

| Another 2000 yards in the pool. Swam another 800 for time today. I wanted to see if I had improved from 2 weeks ago, I swam 10:50 - that was about 1 minute faster. I do not feel it was 100% effort, but I did swim hard. I figure if I really wanted to get aggressive and train harder I could probably get really close to 9 minutes maybe a little under. Who knows if I cannot run anytime soon, I may give it an effort. |

| 1500 yards in the pool. I did a lot of butterfly today, it is a great way to completely torch my body when I am limited for time. Pretty good set today. |

| Alright, finally something to put in the mileage column. The foot felt fair, but the real test will come in the morning. If the pain is down and swelling is not there I may be on my way to at least management - high hopes!! 1500 yards in the pool. I swam the last 500 kick with fins on, I find they strengthen my shins and ankles. Nothing special to report in the pool, just a little of this and that! |

| Another solid run - yea w whole miles. Amazingly enough I am sore from yesterday hahahahahahaha!! 300 yards in the pool too, but I was teaching a lesson so I do not know if I can count it. The foot felt better today and no pain afterward - good news. |

| The foot was good this morning, but I kept putting off the run and then ran out of time. Probably a good thing, I am still sore from my solid 4 miles of running this week. I managed 1500 yards in the pool with a timed 400 at 4:56, not blazing but I will take it. My goal was to average 1:15 per hundred and I got 1:14. With a little more time and a lot more yardage I could see some good gains, maybe!! |

3 miles at City Creek, foot is still a little tender, but not as bad as it has been. Beautiful day, great to run in shorts and a long sleeve. 1500 yards in the pool too, nothing to eventful, but it was still a nice swim. I agree with Paul, it is nice to be on the mileage board if only for a few hours!!

| 1700 yards in the pool. Swam a hard 800 today, could not see the clock well, but I think it was close to 10 minutes, maybe just a touch over. I swam much more aggressively today, kind of had a point to prove. My arms were pretty cooked, but I feel good about the effort. Will try running again tomorrow. |

| The foot was tender at the start, but felt better at the end - usually the case! I struggled to get rolling but I was feeling much better at the end of the run. Swam 1000 yards at the end of the run for good measure. |

| I would almost consider this a long run!! Up city creek again today. The foot felt much better which is surprising because it ached all night long. I was not moving very quickly, but I was happy to be out and happy to run relatively pain free - relatively. 2 days in a row too!!! |

| A better run today. Moved a little slow at first, but felt much better toward the end. I am loving the weather, city creek was beautiful today. I just love freedom of movement, there is such joy and peace in being out and being one with nature. I love Sunday logging, it is the only day all I week I am on the mileage board, hopefully that will change soon!!!! |

| I took the day off. Although I wanted to run and my foot was feeling pretty good I decided to err on the siee of caution. Originally I was only going to run every other day, but got a little carried away. I will head out and run again tomorrow and hit the pool some more. |

| Longest run of the year - almost sad - almost! Anyway I felt ok, although the uphill in the canyon was a little unforgiving. I enjoyed the way down though, overall a great run. |

| Sure is great to make the first page of the mileage board, I will quickly drop back to page 9 by tomorrow so I will cherish it while it lasts. A nice rainy run this afternoon. I felt a little tight at the start, but good towards the end. The rain turned out to be quite nice, not too cold at least until I finished and froze. |
