I have debated for a long time as to start writing in the blog again, but here I am. Running has been pretty hit and miss lately. The left foot is not doing very well and continues to bother me on a daily basis. I remain hopeful it will eventually heal, the right one has, but so far the left, it is not looking good, and there is consensus among the doctors I have seen that this may or may not ever get better. Surgery remains an option, but the risk is exceptional and would likely end any future running, so here I am hanging on the edge left with just hope and a sincere determination to find away to get healthy. I think it is important for me to document my journey and just maybe I can see some light... 4 miles on the treadmill - ran the last 3 miles at a comfortable 6:48 pace. The treadmill has become my friend lately, it has given me the chance to bail on a run in the case my foot becomes too painful. I have had to find a way to walk back on several runs outdoors. The treadmill at least keeps me honest and I can push the pace as hard as I want, I will likely continue on it for the foreseeable future. 15 minutes of stretching and 20 minutes e-stim on heels.
