1700 yards in the pool today. I warmed up 400 yards with flippers on, what a blast, man can you fly with those on!! I actually tried an 800 for time today, inspired by another FRB tri guy. I do not know the last time I swam anything for time, but I figured it would interesting. I thought if I could swim sub 1:30 per 100 I would be happy. I averaged just under 1:30 with an 11:40 something 800. I did not think that was too bad considering I have only been in the water 4 days. It was a pretty far cry from many moons ago, but surprisingly better than I thought it would be. The effort level was not hard, certainly not all out, if I tried an all out effort I would not have made 800 yards. Anyway, an ok swim, and the foot felt ok, still not pain free, but better. |
